Jeff Wieand, Senior Vice President and General Counsel


Jeff joined Boston JetSearch in 1999 and is primarily responsible for assisting clients with contractual negotiations, facilitating transactions and financings, and coordinating advice on FAA and tax matters.


Prior to joining Boston JetSearch, Jeff was engaged in the private practice of law in Boston, specializing in business and aviation transactions. He is a member of the Forum on Air and Space Law of the American Bar Association and the NBAA Tax Committee, and he has served on many professional and civic organizations, including the Board of Editors of the Boston Bar Journal.


Jeff writes a column on legal, tax, and finance issues for Business Jet Traveler and has published and spoken widely on business aviation topics.


Jeff received a B.A. from Middlebury College in 1976, a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago in 1980, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1985. Jeff and his family are long-time residents of Concord, MA, where he is a member of the Board of Selectmen.
